This week, we have Wagner James Au (aka Hamlet Linden), the embedded in-world journalist in Second Life (see his “New World Notes” blog at http://nwn.blogs.com/ ). In this role, James covers the virtual world of Second Life as a full-time journalist. James will be taking us through what it’s like to be a journalist in a purely virtual world with a live demo of Second Life. Incidentally, James runs his own speaker series within Second Life and recently hosted Larry Lessig for an in-world interview (http://news.com.com/Larry+Lessig+visits+Second+Life/2100-1043_3-6028916.html). Aside from his work with Second Life, James has written regularly for publications like Wired and Salon.
